The Kingdom of God. Now, but even more so later. You can't observe it, but it's in our midst. We can have it, but it's not finished yet.
Hey there, and thanks for stopping by my website.
I am fascinated by the mysteriousness of the what Jesus calls the Kingdom of God (sometimes 'of heaven'). I've been in vocational ministry for some time now, but if I'm being honest, I've learned more about what I feel like Jesus means by the Kingdom while being a substitute teacher, on random vacations, or being a reluctant neighbor to a widow.
I think way more people participate in God's Kingdom than we often think. So yea, I think there are more people 'in' than 'out.' It's beautiful, really.
This website is where you can find blog posts about the impossible-to-define Kingdom, as well as discipleship, spiritual formation, and whatever else goes from my brain, to my fingers, to your screen. I also podcast, which is fun. This will have a bit of a different feel than the blog, but hopefully still very beneficial to our exploration of the Kingdom. From time to time I host an event called Formation Corner. You can also connect with me on social media, using the icons below. And you can subscribe to our e-mail list down there too.
I'm married to a lovely woman, and we live smack-dab in the middle of the beautiful city of Peoria, IL. It's there where we have planted a church with a mission to see Jesus Christ change and shape lives. You can read more about that, right here. I also serve as chaplain of an awesome organization in Peoria. My wife teaches third grade on Peoria's south side (go Harrison Hawks!) We are part of a team that is leveraging meaningful inspiration for purposeful creation- more on that project right here.
